Angel's Envy's latest expression was developed by mixing barrels to reach an exact 100 proof without the addition of water. And in another unusual move for Angel’s Envy, this bourbon does not go through any secondary finishing. Instead, this is pure, unaltered Angel’s Envy bourbon.

Booker's The Reserves has been made from an extremely limited batch of older barrels ranging from 8 – 14 years. It still boasts Booker's signature high proof – coming in at 125.9 proof and remains uncut and unfiltered.

For 2024, Maker’s Mark has brought back the Cellar Aged expression but upped the age even further. The 2024 version of Cellar Aged is now made up of 85% 13 year old whiskies and 15% of 12 year old and boasts an even higher 199.3 proof!

Thee brainchild of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett, Warbringer is distilled using mesquite smoked corn and malted rye and promises “a beast of bourbon” and lots of smoke.

Old Forester 117 Scotch Cask Finish is a limited release expression from Old Forester that comes in 375ml bottles, features a 46.5% ABV, and retails for $59.99.

This rare Elijah Craig release comes in a really interesting 200ml bottle that resembles a bourbon barrel. It clocks in at 62.5% ABV and comes from small batches with that classic Elijah Craig recipe.

While Baker’s remains a good, solid choice from Jim Beam, I won’t be rushing out to get another bottle soon. If I wanted some classic Jim Beam, I’d struggle to pick this over a slightly cheaper (and higher proof) Knob Creek single barrel.

This new(ish) Jack Daniel’s Triple Mash expression rounds out their Bonded series and features a combination of rye, single malt, and Tennessee whiskies blended together to create a 100 proof expression that rings in around $35.

 One of the most anticipated releases of Frey Ranch’s young existence has been the introduction of what they call their Farm Strength Uncut expression – a cask strength version of their four grain mashbill.

Now in it’s 7th iteration, the Little Book line from JIm Beam has always flown a bit under the radar for everyone but the biggest whiskey nerds. This 7th chapter in the series is named “In Retrospect”, an homage to the fact 6 of the 7 of the component whiskies in this blend were used in the 6 previous Little Book releases.

Master’s Keep Unforgotten is a blend of 13 year old bourbon and 8 and 9 year old rye whiskies that are blended together before an additional finishing in rye casks.

Still Austin’s Bottled in Bond Blue Corn Bourbon represents the 3 iteration in their new bottled in bond series. This release comes with a very unique mashbill featuring 26% blue corn, 25% white corn, 5% malted barley, and an incredibly high 44% rye.

This Trader Joe’s Barrel Entry Proof example was released a few years ago to massive online hype. The internet clamored over its Rock Hills Farms type bottle, its distillate sourced from Sazerac (many claiming it had to be Buffalo Trace), its high proof, and reasonable $30 MSRP all led to overwhelming online hype.

For this California exclusive batch, Prohibition Craft Spirits took aged MPG whiskey (anywhere from 4-7 years old is estimated), then finished it in toasted barrels for a few additional weeks. It was then bottled at 117.6 proof and non-chill filtered.

The white label Origin Series is Bardstown Bourbon Company’s Straight Bourbon whiskey – featuring a mashbill of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley. This is their entry to the brand and is priced at $45 for a 96 proofer with a 6-year age statement
